Terms of Use – Dark Mode

1. Overview

These Terms of Use apply to Dark Mode, a Safari extension/app by Paran that applies dark mode styling to websites with simple, user-friendly controls. By installing or using Dark Mode, you agree to these Terms.

2. Pricing & Subscription

Dark Mode is available as a paid app on the App Store. An optional Pro upgrade is available in two ways: (1) an auto-renewable subscription at USD $0.99 per month, or (2) a one-time purchase at USD $4.99. Pro unlocks additional convenience features such as schedule-based activation, true black (OLED-friendly) mode, and site-specific rules. Features may vary by device or OS and may change over time.

3. Payment and Renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple ID upon purchase or subscription confirmation. For subscriptions: subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. For one-time purchases: you are charged once and there is no renewal. The Apple Media Services Terms and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application EULA may also apply.

4. Refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, you may request a refund from Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/.

5. Data & Privacy

We do not collect any personal information. Dark Mode runs entirely on your device and does not transmit personal data to our servers. We do not include analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. For general policy information, see our Privacy Policy.

6. No User-Generated Content & Acceptable Use

Dark Mode does not upload your content. It applies dark mode styling locally in your browser. You are responsible for how you use the app and for complying with any policies or terms of the websites you visit. Do not use Dark Mode to violate site rules, abuse services, or enable harmful, deceptive, or illegal activity. Compatibility is not guaranteed for every site. Some websites may override or restrict custom styling, which can affect appearance.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of Dark Mode indicates your acceptance of the latest version.
