Network Snapshot Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 16, 2026

Network Snapshot checks supported services on the local network only after you start discovery. The app does not require an account and does not collect personal data.

Local Network Access

Local Network permission lets the app discover eight declared service types and check one host and port that you enter. Network Snapshot does not create a complete device inventory, collect MAC addresses, scan port ranges, scan for malware, or certify network security.

Saved Data

Discovered service results, host checks, saved snapshots, comparisons, and app settings stay on your device. JSON is generated only when you choose to export a snapshot.

Data Collection

The app has no advertising, analytics, tracking, third-party account system, remote server, cloud service, or Paran backend. It does not send or upload snapshots or local network results.

Your Control

You decide when discovery starts, which host and port to check, which snapshots to save, and whether to export JSON. You can delete saved snapshots in the app. Removing the app also removes its locally stored data unless the operating system preserves it in a device backup.
