Privacy Policy
Open Window is designed to work without a user account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or central tracking profile. Settings, saved places, and recent history are stored on your device.
Information You Provide
You may choose a place, use your current location, enable local notifications, adjust settings, save places, and use subscription features. Open Window does not ask for your name, phone number, address book, payment card number, or account login.
Location
Current location is requested only when you choose to use it. If you select Current Location and enable weather alerts, you may also choose Always Location access so alerts can follow significant changes in your area while the app is not open. The app stops background location monitoring when alerts are disabled or another place is selected.
Coordinates may be sent to Paran notification services and air-quality or weather data providers to fetch outdoor conditions and deliver requested weather alerts. Paran stores the latest registered alert coordinate and saved-place coordinates associated with a random app installation identifier. It does not store a route or chronological location history.
Local Storage
The app may store settings, saved places, notification preferences, the latest air-quality result, and a small recent history on your device. You can remove this information by deleting the app or clearing app data where supported by the operating system.
Notifications
Open Window uses local and Apple Push Notification service notifications. Paran notification services store a random installation identifier, APNs device token, alert preferences, locale, time zone, subscription tier, and registered weather-alert coordinates for notification delivery. Notifications are intended to be conservative and may be suppressed for stale, cached, incomplete, or low-confidence data.
Retention and Deletion
Notification registration data is retained while notifications are enabled and as needed to operate and secure the service. Turning off notifications asks the service to unregister the installation. You can also delete local app data by deleting the app. For a deletion request or privacy question, contact [email protected].
Subscriptions
Open Window Plus purchases and restores are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Paran does not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
Data Providers
The app may use regional air-quality providers, global air-quality model providers, and Apple WeatherKit depending on availability, settings, and release configuration. These providers process requests according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Tracking and Advertising
The current Open Window build does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
