Rank Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
Rank stores your tracked apps, saved rank history, and preferences on your device. Public App Store chart lookups contact Apple. An optional App Store Connect connection stores your API credentials in the device Keychain and uses them to contact Apple directly; those private keys are not sent to the Rank cloud relay.
On iPhone and iPad, eligible Pro purchases can use cloud rank updates and widget snapshots. Movement notifications require you to enable alerts and allow system notifications. To provide these features without keeping your app or Mac open, infrastructure operated for Rank through Google Firebase receives installation identifiers and Apple push tokens, your selected public app identifiers and chart scopes (such as country, device, and chart), app language and delivery preferences, and Apple-signed app or Pro purchase verification information. The service retains the relevant app/purchase transaction identifiers and entitlement status to verify access with Apple. It associates these records with a pseudonymous purchase and installation identifier, rather than collecting your Apple Account email or password. Apple processes purchases and push delivery; Rank does not receive your payment card details.
The relay stores selected chart scopes, observed public rankings, pending deliveries, and widget snapshots to check for changes, deliver alerts, and keep those features consistent. It uses limited technical request and delivery records to protect access, prevent abuse, and operate the service. This information is used for app functionality, not advertising or cross-app tracking. Disabling movement alerts stops future movement notifications; cloud widget updates can remain active for an eligible purchase. Local deletion or turning alerts off does not automatically erase all existing server records. For a request concerning Rank cloud records, contact [email protected]; we may need information sufficient to verify the installation or purchase before removing associated records. Existing local history and Apple purchase records remain under your device or Apple account controls.
