Privacy Policy – Seen

Effective date: June 14, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Seen, a web memory app by Paran, handles information. Seen helps you save and revisit webpages from Safari, organize useful history, view summaries, tags, recommendations, insights, and related app features.

2. Web History and Local Processing

Seen may process webpage information such as page title, URL, site name, description, image URL, selected text, readable page text, visit count, active reading time, summaries, tags, and related records to provide app features on your device.

We do not sell your data and do not store your saved web history on our servers. Your saved Seen records are designed to stay on your device unless you choose to use Apple iCloud sync.

3. Local Storage and Keychain

Seen may store app settings, saved records, display preferences, language settings, purchase entitlement cache, and rewarded-ad frequency counters on your device using local storage such as UserDefaults, App Groups, files, and Keychain.

Some local counters may remain on the same device after deleting and reinstalling the app because iOS Keychain data can persist across reinstall. These counters are used to keep free-use and rewarded-ad limits consistent.

4. iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your Seen data may be synced through your personal Apple iCloud account. Syncing is handled by Apple services according to your Apple ID, iCloud settings, and Apple's terms and privacy policy. We do not operate a separate Seen server for your saved web history.

5. Purchases

Seen Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card number. The app may use Apple StoreKit information to determine whether Pro is active and to remove ads for Pro users.

6. Advertising and Tracking

Seen may show rewarded ads to free users. Ads are provided through Google AdMob. Before loading ads where required, the app may request permission using Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework so that the advertising identifier (IDFA) can be used for personalized ads and ad measurement if you allow tracking.

Google AdMob and its partners may process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, coarse location estimated from IP address, advertising data, product interaction data, crash data, and performance data for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, measurement, and service reliability.

On the App Store privacy label, Seen may disclose Device ID as data used to track you, and may disclose Coarse Location, Product Interaction, Advertising Data, Crash Data, and Performance Data as data collected for advertising, analytics, diagnostics, and service reliability purposes. If you deny tracking permission, ads may still be shown, but the IDFA is not provided for tracking.

7. Rewarded Ads and Free Use

Free users may open a number of saved detail items without ads. After the free allowance, Seen may show a rewarded ad before allowing an additional detail open, and may repeat this pattern periodically. Pro removes ads. The exact free allowance, ad frequency, and included features may change over time.

8. Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. Third-party services involved in Seen may include Apple services for App Store distribution, purchases, Safari extensions, and iCloud sync, and Google AdMob for ads. Webpage images or content may also be loaded from the websites you save or revisit. Third-party terms and privacy policies apply to their processing.

9. Deletion and Controls

Because your saved Seen history is not stored on our servers, deletion is managed on your device, through Seen, or through your Apple iCloud settings if iCloud sync is enabled. You can manage tracking permission in iOS Settings. You can remove local app data by deleting app data where iOS permits, removing the app, disabling iCloud sync, deleting iCloud data, or resetting the device.

10. Children

Seen is not intended to collect personal information from children. Children should use the app only with appropriate parental or guardian guidance.
