Terms of Use – Seen
1. Overview
These Terms of Use apply to Seen, a web memory app by Paran that helps you save and revisit webpages you browse, organize useful web history, view summaries, tags, recommendations, insights, and optional Safari page controls. By installing or using Seen, you agree to these Terms.
2. Pricing & Subscription
Seen may be downloaded from the App Store. Free use includes core saving and revisiting features, and may include limits such as limited history retention and periodic rewarded ads for additional detail opens after the free detail-view allowance. An optional Seen Pro upgrade is available in two ways: (1) an auto-renewable subscription at USD $1.99 per month, or (2) a one-time purchase at USD $9.99. Seen Pro unlocks premium features such as unlimited history, automatic Safari panel, private iCloud sync, and ad-free detail opens. Features, prices, free allowances, and ad frequency may vary by country, device, operating system, App Store settings, and app version, and may change over time.
3. Payment and Renewal
Payment is charged to your Apple ID upon purchase or subscription confirmation. For subscriptions: subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. For one-time purchases: you are charged once and there is no renewal. The Apple Media Services Terms and Apple’s Standard Licensed Application EULA may also apply.
4. Refunds
All purchases are final and non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, you may request a refund from Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com/.
5. Data & Privacy
We do not sell your data and do not store your web history on our servers. Seen is designed to store your saved web history and settings locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, your Seen data may be synced through your personal Apple iCloud account. Seen may process webpage information such as page title, URL, site name, description, image URL, selected text, readable page text, visit count, and active reading time to provide history, summaries, tags, recommendations, insights, and related app features. Any syncing is handled by Apple services. Seen may show rewarded ads to free users and may request App Tracking Transparency permission before loading ads. Advertising and measurement data may be handled by Google AdMob and its partners according to their policies. For details, see the Seen Privacy Policy and our general Privacy Policy.
6. Rewarded Ads, Free Use, and Ad Removal
Free users may open a number of saved detail items without ads. After the free allowance, Seen may show a rewarded ad before allowing an additional detail open, and may repeat this pattern periodically. Seen may store local rewarded-ad frequency counters, including in Keychain where supported, to keep the free-use cycle consistent on the same device. Pro removes ads while Pro access remains active. Availability of ads, rewards, and ad removal may depend on Apple, Google AdMob, network status, country, device, and operating system.
7. User Content & Acceptable Use
Your saved webpages, notes, selected text, summaries, tags, and related records are your content. You are responsible for the content you save, create, or sync and for complying with any applicable laws, policies, and third-party website terms. Do not use Seen to save, create, distribute, or support spam, abusive, harmful, deceptive, infringing, or illegal content. Do not bypass, interfere with, or manipulate purchase, subscription, rewarded-ad, ad-removal, entitlement, or usage-limit systems. Compatibility with all websites, browsers, devices, ads, or Apple services is not guaranteed.
8. Service Availability & Changes
Seen is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features such as summaries, page controls, recommendations, image previews, translation, Safari integration, iCloud sync, StoreKit purchases, and rewarded ads may depend on your device, operating system, Apple services, Google AdMob, network status, and website behavior. We may update, modify, limit, or discontinue features at any time to improve performance, privacy, security, monetization, or product quality.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of Seen indicates your acceptance of the latest version.
