DOM Change Proof processes a user-chosen Safari tab only after an explicit tap. Paran does not collect or receive page contents, URLs, snapshots, or proof reports.

No account, Paran backend, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, tracking, or page-content upload. Baselines and reports remain in the local shared app container unless you explicitly export a report.

When capture runs

The Safari extension captures only the active HTTP or HTTPS tab after you tap Save baseline or Compare now. It has no persistent all-sites permission, scheduled capture, background crawler, or always-on monitoring.

Page data processed

A bounded snapshot can contain the page title, normalized page address, visible text, structural paths, and selected structural attributes needed for comparison. Each snapshot also includes capture time, node count, completeness state, and a deterministic hash.

Capture is limited to 1,500 elements, depth 40, 180 normalized text characters per element, 12 allow-listed attributes per element, and a 1.5 MB native message. A report is marked as truncated when an element bound is reached.

Data deliberately excluded

Form values, password fields, text areas, editable regions, scripts, styles, templates, comments, URL query strings, and URL fragments are excluded. Cross-origin iframe contents are not inspected.

Local storage

Baselines and proof reports are written atomically to the app’s shared local container so the Safari extension and native app can use the same evidence. Proof history is capped at 50 reports. The app has no database, network client, account system, or Paran server connection.

Export and sharing

A readable JSON report leaves the app only when you choose a system file or share destination. The destination you select then controls the exported copy. Review the report and the destination’s privacy practices before sharing evidence that may describe a private or restricted page.

Your control

You choose the page, when to save or replace a baseline, when to compare, which report to export, and when to delete local proofs. Removing the app also removes its local container unless the operating system preserves app data in a device backup.

Data collection

DOM Change Proof does not collect personal data, page content, page addresses, proof reports, identifiers, diagnostics, or usage events for Paran. It includes no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDK.

Product boundary

DOM Change Proof is a local structural comparison utility. It is not a browser, page editor, network inspector, security scanner, accessibility certification tool, legal certification service, or background monitor.
