DOM Change Proof
Safari DOM evidence support
Support
Capture once. Compare later.
Save a local Safari DOM baseline, recapture the same page later, review exact structural changes, and export a hash-backed JSON proof.
Quick start
- Enable DOM Change Proof in Safari Extensions settings.
- Open the HTTP or HTTPS page you want to use as a reference.
- Tap the extension in Safari, then tap Save baseline.
- Return to the same page later, tap the extension, and choose Compare now.
- Open DOM Change Proof to review added, removed, attribute, text, moved, and child-order changes.
- Choose the share button if you want to export the local JSON proof.
What the proof contains
Every proof records normalized page information, capture times, baseline and current root hashes, completeness state, summary counts, and ordered structural change records. Capture times are stored as integer Unix milliseconds.
Change categories
- Added and Removed identify structural nodes that appeared or disappeared.
- Attributes identifies an allow-listed structural attribute whose value changed.
- Text identifies normalized visible text that changed.
- Moved identifies a uniquely matched node at a different structural path.
- Order identifies a change in the ordering of matched child nodes.
If Safari cannot capture a page
- Confirm that the current page uses HTTP or HTTPS. Safari settings, local browser pages, and other internal pages are unsupported.
- Confirm that you enabled the extension and tap it again from the page you want to capture.
- Very large pages can exceed the safe local message size. A bounded capture never silently claims completeness.
- Only the top-level page is captured. Cross-origin iframe contents are outside the app’s scope.
Privacy
No account is required. The app has no Paran backend, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or page-content upload. Form values, password fields, text areas, editable regions, URL queries, and URL fragments are excluded. Read the privacy policy for the exact boundary.
Product boundaries
DOM Change Proof compares two user-chosen structural snapshots. It does not continuously monitor a site, run arbitrary JavaScript, edit a page, inspect network requests, scan for vulnerabilities, or certify legal, security, or accessibility compliance.
