Terms of Use – Peek

1. Overview

These Terms of Use apply to Peek, a macOS app by Paran that helps you find running apps, switch windows, manage favorites, and navigate your workspace faster. By installing or using Peek, you agree to these Terms.

2. Service

Peek is a macOS menu bar app launcher that provides running app search, favorites, hidden app management, quick app switching, and optional window title based switching.

3. Permissions

Basic app switching works without Accessibility permission. Reading window titles and focusing a specific window works only if you grant macOS Accessibility permission. You can revoke this permission at any time in macOS System Settings.

4. Direct Purchases and Refunds

This website sells the direct distribution build of Peek Pro through Gumroad. Peek Pro may be offered as (1) a yearly license at USD $14.99 per year, or (2) a lifetime license at USD $29.99. Gumroad processes checkout, taxes where applicable, receipts, and payment details. Paran does not receive your full card number or payment credentials. Refund requests for direct purchases should be sent to [email protected] with your Gumroad receipt email and license key. Direct refund expectations are described in the Peek Refund Policy.

5. License Key and Device Use

Direct purchases unlock Peek Pro with a license key. A license key is personal to the buyer and may not be shared, resold, published, or used to bypass licensing controls. Device changes or activation issues can be reviewed by support. We may block or reset licenses that appear to be abused, copied, refunded, or used in a way that violates these Terms.

6. Apple Relationship

The direct distribution build sold on this website is not sold through the Mac App Store. Apple is not the seller, payment processor, or support provider for direct Gumroad purchases. Separate Mac App Store builds, if offered, may use Apple in-app purchases and Apple's own terms, purchase flow, and refund process.

7. Use Notes

Peek is an assistive app switching tool. Switching behavior may vary depending on macOS state, other apps, permission settings, and multi-display environments.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not modify the app, bypass security controls, infringe others' rights, or use Peek in a way that violates laws or platform policies.

9. Data and Privacy

Privacy details are available in the Peek Privacy Policy.

10. Service Availability and Changes

Peek is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may depend on your device, operating system, permission settings, other apps, display setup, and macOS behavior. We may update, modify, limit, or discontinue features at any time to improve performance, privacy, security, or product quality.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of Peek indicates your acceptance of the latest version.
